I really love to keep list and take notes. I used to use notecards, but I now feel I could save a lot of time if things were sync'd to my computer using isync. I use iCal, Address Book, Mail, .Mac. I want to be able to get my email instantly, use something like Vindigo, take notes that sync with Stickies or some other application.

I used to have a Sidekick and loved it except for the lack of syncing, the SIZE, and the crappy coverage from T-Mobile (I'm in San Diego). I now have a Verizon LG-6000 and love the size and the reception, but it doesn't sync easily. I would like to sync via bluetooth.

I would like a single device if possible that uses Verizon. They have blackberries and some Samsung smartphones as well as some high end Motorola phones. I would sacrifice size if I can get great reception using Verizon. Otherwise, I want to keep Verizon (I don't want to cancel my contract if possible) and get the smallest organizer with the best syncing.

Verizon phones

Any suggestions?

Why not use a VZW Treo 600?

Or wait for the Treo 650?

It works with iSync, there's a Stickies <-> Palm conduit, it can use Vindigo...

Hey kman,

I'm in the same boat, and I'm also in San Diego and on Verizon. My big problem with the Verizon Bluetooth options and with the Treo is price. These are expensive phones, and I think we're still a ways off for a good phone and organizer in one at a decent price. I'm not willing to drop a ton of money on a phone that's going to be a pain to deal with.

I think I'm going for a Moto V265 and wait a couple of years. I still have my Palm T3, too, so that's just going to have to do for now.

I'll be interested to see what you choose.

My wife used to have a treo 300 and it was a pain to keep in sync. I didn't like that you had to launch the hotsync manager during the isync synchronization. The Palm sync software just didn't seem very mac-like.

Anyone have experience with Missing Sync?

Have you looked at www.palminfocenter.com and www.brighthand.com for feedback on Missing Sync?

That's not how it works -- you HotSync the Palm and iSync automatically opens once HotSync Manager gets to the iSync conduit.

It's actually quite fast now that syncing is done over USB.

But it is true that you cannot iSync without initiating a HotSync first. I don't believe Missing Sync changes this.
