I need approx. 1TB of network storage for an IMAC to store 750-1000 CD's in .wav format (dont ask) how can I best accomplish this on the Mac side..

I've seen several PC centric type devices that will let me build a small SAN (the Linksys device comes to mind with 2 400gb USB external HD's)

I seen LaCIE has a 1TB Big Drive..but thats only a firewire device and would have to sit next to the IMAC which isnt the ideal solution.

http://www.apple.com/xserve/raid/ would work if you had a G4 or G5 to put the Fibre Channel PCI-X Card into. It will not fit in your iMac however.
