Dear friends!
My mobilenetwork provider TELENOR MOBIL wants me to take their new 3G network for a testdrive and they sent me the new NOKIA 6630. An impressive little unit, but it refuses to communicate with iSync on my Mac. I have been using and are using products from SonyEricsson and there has been no problems with those.
Does anyone know if there is going to be any upgrades in the near future that enables iSync to communicate with the Symbian-software (..I think thats the name..) in the Nokia 6630?
If not I will sell it...
All the best,
Edvin Ostvik

Nifty, report back on the phone. Been hoping they come out where I live before the month is over.
Anyway, have a 6600 now and it works fine.

...well, obviously there has been an update on the telephone software. Dam, 400 kbps is great fun, but my Mac is more important to me.

It should work fine. What are you trying to do? Can you create a bluetooth connection? The phone may be new enough that it'll take an update on iSync to catch up with it. On the 6600, it syncs fine. Even shows the 6600 in the sync bar.
Trade ya?

It does connect via bluetooth. I try to set it up, everything looks fine until the last window pops up. It tells me that i can use dataconnection and not sync adress and calendar.

There's no way to sync the newer Series 60 devices until Tiger arrives (the new S60 phones use SyncML.)
The 6630 is an amazing phone from what I've heard though, I'm quite jealous :-D
T-Mobile USA announced that they won't have 3G for another two years at least. Goodbye, T-Mo... with Cingular and AT&T forming the largest GSM network BY FAR in the US, and having already rolled out 3G in some markets, T-Mobile's obituary is being written.

Ok, they were just too good to pass up as I was able to get one for 1/3 off the retail price.
Just my second day and still working the bugs out. Able to create a bt connection but iSync isn't working. I read on a symbian forum that it's very likely that Apple could release an iSync update to handle new phones before Tiger.
If you have an older phone, you can sync the details to that, then use the new Transfer application and tranfer details via bt.
I'm also going to download the PC Suite and use it via VPC and see what I can do.
