I just recently purchased a SonyEricsson z500a cell phone. I am interrested in purchasing the data cable so that i can sync it with my mac and transfer files to and from it. Does anybody have any experience with this phone or any other sonyericsson data cable situations?

No syncing solutions that I am aware of allow a SE phone with data cable to be synced with the Mac.

All of the existing solutions (namely, iSync) require a Bluetooth connection, which the z500a lacks.

Blast... i wanted oh so bad to be able to do this. Oh well... the only thing this phone lacks is bluetooth, and who knows, maybe i can find some sort of adapter.
