Well I am a windows guy that has been admiring macs for some time. I bought my gf an ibook for Christmas and everything is great, however she can't print on my HP all in one connected to my XP box.

Everything is setup correctly because she can send jobs to the printer, however it just prints some garble and then continuous blank pages.

I have read a "samba" fix? But it is long and complicated and seems way too involved for this simple task. What are the issues here? Should I buy a different printer?

I mean it seems this would not be difficult.
