Hi,

I have this external HD with included 8-in-1 Media Card reader. I have a problem with it.

The integrated reader reads and recognizes my Smartmedia cards. However, I have 2 SecureDigital cards but these fail to be recognized by the drive.

I called WD Support and the guy I spoke with says the problem is with the card and not with the drive per se. I would think that if there was anything wrong with the cards, they would not work in my Canon digital card. He says the cards are not compatible with the drive?!?! Isn't a SD card an SD card? I mean these are good cards: one made by Canon and one by Sandisk.

Any advice?
