Over the weekend I ordered a new 20" Apple ADC (previous model) Cinema Display from Memory Solutions for $899 with free ground shipping. Used their web site and because it was the weekend, and a holiday, wasn't surprised that I didn't hear from them regarding my order till today. That's where things get a little strange to me....maybe I'm being anal. I got an email from Mac Solutions asking me to fill out and fax to them a credit card approval form. On it they ask for my account #, exp. date, security code and to top it off they ask that I photo copy the front and back of my credit card and fax them the whole shebang. WTF? Now remember I ordered from Memory Solutions....I got this email from Mac Solutions. The phone numbers don't match up but calls to both result in my being dumped into a customer service voice mail asking for my name and phone number....they'll call back. Well two hours later they haven't called.
Has anyone dealt with this/these companies? Is it legit to ask me to fax them this info? Am I being overprotective of my credit card account?

Even though no one chimed in I thought I'd post an update. I cancelled the order with Memory/Mac Solutions and bought a new Aluminum 20" from the Apple Store for the same price with my edu discount. Things sometimes have a way of taking care of themselves...I'm happy Apple dropped the prices when they did.
I still don't know what to think about the other company.
