Hi

can't find any definitive advice on sorting this out. our problem is that we are transering all our Ced's onto our file server (G4 800 tower). The idea was to fit an airport card and but an airport airtunes block and stream the music to the hi-fi, so far so trchnical. The problem is that the tower will not accept an airport extreme card (too old) and several vendors have suggested that a standard card will be too slow for music streaming.

One possibility is to buy and external hi speed base station and connect the server to it via ethernet, will the airtunes block "see" the server via this?

Even better would be if someone can confirm that a standard airport card will do the job.

Thanks

Andrew
