hey, i got my ipod when i didnt have an ibook, so i set it up on a pc...now i have an ibook and im wondering should i restore it to factory settings for my mac?only reason is so i can update it on my mac...madness or not?

i believe that you can use a windows formatted ipod for mac, just not the other way around.
