I find lot times I have a cd or dvd in my external burner, and I change my mind about burning, and want to eject, problem is nothing is on desktop and pressing eject on unit wont do anything -- so I reboot. Any better ideas? thanks!

- In any Finder window, click on the eject button next to the drive...
- or select the drive in the Finder window and choose Eject from the popup menu with the little "gear" on it...
- or right click on the drive, and select Eject from the contextual menu...
- or select the drive and type command-E...
- or select the drive and choose Eject from the Finder's File menu...
- or launch Disk Utility, select the drive, and choose Eject from the File menu.

F12 does not work.

Only place I found that could do this was in toast -- only there was I able to select various external cd or dvd drives and eject. Can't find any reference to these drives in finder or disk utility. Disc utility only list hard drives.
