I'm not sure, but it seems like i have a problem with my soundsticks since i've got this dual 1.3 ghz powerlogix upgrade in my sawtooth 400 mhz powermac. today the problem is worse than ever: when i resize a window or minimize it the whole sound will completely distort. I had that problem with sending data through Ethernet and Airport, and recently even with copying songs to my iPod in iTunes. I got the hint that there might not be enough power for all internal cards/devices, but I took them all out and the problem remained. Using the regular audio out works perfectly by the way. But I can't just ditch my Soundsticks, they're good and were expensive.

My configuration is:

PowerMac
* Dual 1.3 GHz Upgrade
* 704 MB SDRAM
* 2x USB 1.1
* USB 2.0 controller
* ATI Radeon 9200 with 128 mb
* ATI Rage 128 with 16 mb
* 2x 60 GB HD
* Samsung Combo Drive
* Airport card

Any clue what could be the problem? I don't want to put in the old processor again, I'm too lazy for that

Edit: The processor is not the problem, the problem remains even with the original processor. Plus, it's indifferent whether any other USB devices are connected or whether the USB 2.0 card is connected or whether the soundsticks are connected to the card or the built-in internal USB 1.1 ports.

That sounds bad. Like, something is putting noise across everything on your motherboard. It could have easily been caused by something getting shorted in the processor upgrade installation. (Problem would still exist with old processor.)
If this is the case, I am sorry to say that you are ****ed, excepting buying a new motherboard.
But, this is all speculation.
