Hi. Wanting to know if the Lacie slim usb2 dvd burner works well with Mac. Looking at the http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=10515

Lacie also has a firewire burner
LaCie Slim DVD±RW, Design by F.A. Porsche

Am wanting to purchase the usb2 version to use with my 15" al powerbook and some pc's at work. Price point is better with the usb2 and a couple pcs don't have the right firewire pin. Is there a big difference in performance between usb2 and firewire400 drives?

Your expertise would be really apreciated.

All LaCie products of of excellent quality and work well with Macs.
