I've narrowed my search down to two monitors. One of them is a nifty Phillips. It's an older model but it still very impressive. One thing it has is BNC connectors. I read somewhere that BNC has better video and color quality than a standard VGA cable, it also isn't as susceptible to interference and ghosting as much as VGA.

I had an old iiyama that used BNC, and I noticed the text and graphics were a lot crisper. Does your video card have BNC out? If you use a VGA<->BNC adapter you might not get those advantages.

They don't make graphics cards with BNC jacks.

But yeah, a high-quality coaxial VGA cable that ends in 5 BNC connectors should give you a slightly better image, especially at high resolutions. (Many VGA-VGA cables are super-cheap thin bastards that cause lots of ghosting and blur. BNC cables tend to use much higher quality wire, properly shielded separately for each color.)

Try www.pccables.com for BNC cables. They sell them cheap, but from the pix and description they sound good.
