hey all....

I've got a Pismo powerbook, hooked up to a Mator firewire drive (where I store all my music). I also have an ipod plugged into the other firewire port.

Whenever I drag music from my drive to my ipod, it freezes iTunes and ejects the drive, claiming I unplugged it.

Does anyone know why, or how to fix it?

the latest OS X....

I didn't instalt he latest iTunes update...i"ll try that right now.

Within iTunes. Going from Library to iPod. The Library happens to be on an external FW drive.

The update did not solve it. On the first attempt, it crashed iTunes and ejected the drive. And I had been listening to stuff on the drive for the last couple hours. I only have trouble with the drive when copying files from the Library (fw drive) to the iPod.

The iPod is a mini, and seems to work fine. The drive is a Maxtor 80 gig.
