I have a 12" iBook which I often use on my desktop with a normal mouse and keyboard. I am looking for a stand for it to raise the screen up to a decent level for viewing.

I have had a look around and have seen a few products, the most common being the Griffin iCurve. I'm not too keen on this one as it is not adjustable, either in height or angle of laptop. Also as it is one piece it is awkward to store when you're not using it. I do like the way you can put things underneath it though, giving you more desk space.

Another one I have seen is called the Jellyfish or something (not sure who makes it), and while this had good adjustment and folded away flat, it was rather cumbersome and did not raise the machine off the desk - hence not saving any desk space.

Has anyone out there got or seen a better stand than the two above? I would be interested to hear your recommendations...

I have an icurve and I really like it, the main thing being that since your laptop's elevated with open circulation, it prevents a lot of heat problems.

I have the iCurve and both love it and hate it. I love the space-saving feature that you mention, which is why I got it. My PB shares the desk with my desktop PC so things were getting crowded. Right now I have a Belkin USB hub under it, which fits nicely. I use an external monitor, keyboard and mouse with it, but I often type directly on it as well, and for those times I find it too high. It also bounces a little when you lean on it, which is annoying. It's a bit of a toss-up, but if you already recognize the problems with height, angle and size, then maybe the iCurve isn't for you.
