How is it? Is it worth the $59.99 price tag? I'm assuming you can't use it to wake the computer up from sleep if you want to display on an external monitor only, is that correct? What is the battery life like?

Any other useful information about it?

I'll be connecting it to my 12" PB

I'm using one with my PowerBook. Had it several months and no problems. Still on original batteries. Works just like the Apple Pro Keyboard sans wires and USB ports. Wakes the computer and works as far as across the room.

I don't have a separate monitor so I couldn't tell you if it will keep a closed PowerBook awake when connected to a monitor.
Scooters are more fun than computers and only slightly more frustrating

Can you even see the screen from that far away?

i'm using one. it loses its connection every few days, which is mildly annoying. usually turning bluetooth off and then on fixes that.

I think Apple says the battery life is about 9 months, I think I got about that before I had to replace them, so thats very good. I've only had it loose the connection maybe twice ever, not sure what could cause that. The best part is that not only does it wake from sleep, but even the startup commands work, like holding down "c" to startup from a CD. Thats really nice. I'd highly recommend this thing.

I use both the keyboard and the mouse while at home with my PowerBook 17". I've had no problems of note.

Got one. I like it. Haven't replaced the batteries yet. Once in a while it will repeatedly send the same keystroke to the comp (usually when I'm in VPC), which I fix by just switching the bluetooth off for a sec.

I've had one for about 8 months. Works fine. No dropped characters nor dropped connections. Running on only second set of batteries in 8 months. Wakes my PowerBook no problem, and never had a problem on my G5. No complaints at all. In fact, I think the key response/feel is a bit better than the wired keyboard my G5 came with.

Agree completely. Keyboard is perfect; mouse is lousy mostly because it feels strange and because it has only one button and no scrollwheel. Also, too many signal-loss issues.
