The bluetooth on the V710 doesn't support OBEX or OPP, so it really has no functionality except for connecting to a head set or as a modem. There is a class action suit against Verizon Wireless because of this, as Verizon advertised the phone as being fully functional with other bluetooth enabled devices. The phone hacker community is pretty active in trying to work around this. There was a contest recently that offered a $3000 prize to anyone that could implement OBEX on the V710. On guy was able to get it to support MMS and transfer programs to windows, and is still working on oBEX. I think the hacker solution will come about long before Veirzon uncripples the phone.
