I was wondering if the new PowerBook trackpad system, could be implemented in a next generation of Apple mice. It could be like the following :

The same old Apple Mouse Pro design : one physical button (one click), two "virtual" buttons, and a scrolling system based in a touch sensitive system (like the wheel of the ipod, or a trackpad). If you click with one finger (say, your left finger), you get a "left click". If you click with your right finger (the right side of the sentitive zone), yoy get a "right click". If you drag both of your finger in the surface of the mouse, you have vertical scrolling, even horizontal scrolling. You could also have the combination of dragging with two fingers and physical clicking, you could have other posibilities (like calling exposé, etc).

I mean, the idea of two fingers draggins is so intelligent, combined with a good touch and presure system in the body of the mouse, it coud generate a really revolutionary next generation mouse.

No tactile feedback for a "click" on a mouse is a horrible horrible idea.

Even more, Apple does not want two or more buttoned mice because it makes it harder for the non-savvy computer user.
Now YOUR mouse would be really killing those people...
