hi. i have this firewire enclosure:
Link
And i have installed a western digital 160GB 8MB drive in there. first time i connected the drive to my mini and turned on the drive it worked perfectly. I transfered all of my mp3s from my old pc over to it via the mac over wireless (thinking about it i should've connected directly to the pc :|) ahem anyway. after a while the drive suddenly disconnected by its self from the mac. in OS X a dialog box flipped down (very cool btw) and said that the drive disconnected and some data may have been damaged because of the improper ejection, or something like that. well anyway, after the that drive would not pop up on the mac when connected, with the firewire or usb2.0 cables. it wouldnt even pop up on my laptop. so i connected the drive itself internally to my pc and i formatted it. then i removed it, installed it back into the enclosure and the mac recognised it again. then it was fine for a couple of days. then when i connected it to the mac again, it wouldnt recognise. so i connected it to my pc internally again and i could view the contents of it through windows. so i didnt bother formatting it. i connected to the mac again and it worked! well its stopped recognising again... i dont know if its a problem with the enclosure, or mac OS. any opinions???
thanks
