Does anyone use Apple's wireless keyboard without the internal Bluetooth module? I have a mini with an external DLink stick and qould like to get a wireless keyboard. Does it work at startup or do I need a "backup"- wired keyboard?

Though I don't have any experience using bluetooth dongles with my powerbook, I would assume that as long as the bluetooth dongle is compatable with the mac you won't have any problems and shouldn't need a "backup" of any kind.

It will work fine.
You might want a wired keyboard connected until you pair the wireless one to the machine for the first time, but after that there should be no trouble.

I do note that from a cold boot, I need to give the keyboard & computer about 8 seconds to connect to each other after the login screen pops up, but otherwise I'd never know the keyboard wasn't wired.
