I guess I'll be the first one to start a thread discussing this thing.

If anyone missed it, you can find a description and some pictures of the phone here: http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/pro.../0,,4,00.html. If you don't already know, this is the first of many phones to feature iTunes software.

The first thing that I noticed about the phone is the 4 way navigation button, which is standard to most phones. On the Motorola E1060, it looks just like a scroll weel on an iPod. Does it function the same way? If so, I may need to plop down a few Benjis to buy this thing.

My only dissapointment is that the camera is only 1.3 mpx. I mean, seriously, we were supposed to have 3.x mpx cameras on phones last year, with zoom, flash, auto-focus etc. They have them in other countries. I guess I can just hope that this is a feature they will place on a model soon to be released.

The page you requested doesn't exist in this location."

Not to mention it is coming out at the END of the year.

I actually kinda dug the look of the phone. I am sure that there will be different looking phones for you to choose from once they are all revealed. But ya, end of the year release is not cool.

Let me try that link again:

I can imagine that it would look better in iPod white. For me its just the black/green color scheme, which I do not like.

White phones match iPods, iBooks and/or iMacs very well.

Inside yes, outside not. Just like the first dual USB iBooks.
Unfortunately they sell this phone (SonyEricsson V800) with a black cover in Germany. You need to order the white one yourself and swap it.

I had a white Nokia for almost 2 years, it stayed surprisingly white until I swapped for a T610

"Streaming audio and video, video and audio capture and playback with support for MPEG4, WMV/WMA and MP3 files"

1) Apple is NOT going to offer streaming audio ! So what has this to do with iTunes ?

2) No mentioning of DRM AAC ? WTF ? Won't work with iTunes and iTMS songs ?

Accroding to the story on the main page, it is supposed to. Interesting that there isn't even a consistent list of product features.

According to a German news sources, this is NOT the iTunes phone.
They talked to Motorola reps about that.

The iTunes phone is expected to at the CeBit in Hannover, Germany. According to the source, Apple is doing the software for that phone themselves.
