iSight connection keeps dropping in iMovie

	I'm recording directly from my iSight in iMovie, and the connection keeps dropping. I have to quit iMovie, unplug the iSight, connect it again and restart. Sometimes video capture freezes a few seconds in. I'm connecting directly to my powerbook's firewire port. Any thoughts as to what the problem might be? iSight is working fine in iChat, and my camcorder is working fine in iMovie. iMovie 04, 10.3.8, 1ghz 12" powerbook, 768mb RAM.
