when dragging your iBook or PB?

Should I just shove my iBook 12" into my soft-sided briefcase with my other work stuff? Or do I get some kind of other case or bag for it?

What's best way to do this on a daily basis?

Thanks very much in advance,

Christopher

if you go look in the powerbook forum, there is a 13 page thread all about backpacks and sleeves.
very helpful stuff in there.

in my case, i have a very snug protective neoprene sleeve that i put my powerbook into. then depending on which backpack i am using, the sleeve will go into a bigger sleeve and then into the backpack, or sans bigger sleeve into the backpack. all my backpacks have a laptop compartment for that extra protection.

if you are using a briefcase, i would suggest a snug sleeve to put your *book into. that should take care of it.

I use a sleeve made of some really dense foam that absorbs anything that might poke at my PB when in my padded backpack.

So far, so good.

I realize there's a sticky on this, but FWIW I'm very fond of my Tom Bihn Empire Builder bag with a Brain Cell insert. It's very durable, and I feel as though my iBook is very well protected inside of it. It's also very capacious, with plenty of room for accessories, personal items, and files. Check it out. It's really neat how the BC clips to the inside of the EB.

I bought a Sony Vaio neoprene sleeve at MicroCenter that fits my 12" iBook perfectly. It was $15-20. It fits very neatly into my backpack, or I can carry it by itself.

Before that I used the cushiony paper sleeve that the iBook came wrapped in. I've also used bubble wrap in a pinch.
