I'm looking for an affordable solution to get RCA video into my computer. Is USB 1 the only option? Is there a cheep way to get it in via USB 2 or firewire? I've seen a few $80 cables for usb (nice and small) but only 350x350 at 30fps. Most of them are windows only. I'd really prefer a cable type solution. Since I'd like to switch using it on my ibook (no pc card slot) and on my tower mac. I have a security cam that I want to bring video in to evocam... I'd like a small footprint so I don't have a monster box to plug into. Doesn't really need to be portable too much though because I'll check it through web or stream it through airport to another computer.

Any suggestions on something cheep that works? Preferably relatively fast? The only things i found were like $200?

ALL the mac ones are USB 1.0? Anybody know if the Last Xpert (Supposedly PC Only) works on mac?

Is there a video project for mac os x drivers for USB video products? Maybe something similar to IOexperts who make a driver for windows webcams?
