what are some good TV tuners for the Mac? I can do USB 1.1 or PCI (or PCI-X) for my Sawtooth. I'd like to get it as cheaply as possible, as it's just plain analog cable, nothing digital or hi-def.

there have been some good reviews here on the elgato eye-tv and on some other options like miglia and plextor. they each have their strengths and weaknesses, search for those posts and see what looks good to you. if you have more (specific) questions post them here.
