Hi,

I want to add a second hard drive to my PowerMac G5 (dual 1.8GHz). I was thinking of getting a Seagate SATA drive. Some have NCQ and some don't. If I get one can the PowerMac G5 support NCQ? If the PowerMac G5 is not capable of supporting it will a drive with NCQ still work in the PowerMac G5?

I was reading somewhere on the Net about NCQ and if I recall, NCQ drives will run on non-NCQ machines but you will obviously not get any benefits from it.

That was my understanding as well, but I wanted confirmation before I ordered one.
