Hello

I have a 17" PB connected to a 20" Alu display, the problem is that with the PB on the desk i also have to keep the powerbrick on the desk due to the badly designed cable.

Is there anyting out there that i can use?

Regards - Zada.

I have a similar setup and I know the problem. If the brick has to be on the floor, you;re going to have to by extension cables for DVI, USB and FW depending on which of these ports you actually want to use on your monitor. If you don;t want to do that, you could just stick or velcro the brick to the back or underside of your desk or to the wall behind the PowerBook. That will keep it close enough to the PowerBook.

I guess the ACD cable was designed with the Power Mac in mind which makes some sense. If you use an ACD with a PowerBook, it's not ideal. I still think Apple should offer a docking station for their PowerBooks. That would solve (among others) also this problem.

I'd be happy with just a mini DVI extender.
