I'm about to buy a powerbook. I won't be traveling alot so i don't need it to be "ultra-portable", but which mouse is the best?

For desktop use, definitely the MX1000 wins. However, for travel with a laptop, I personally like the Bluetake BT500 bluetooth mouse. Travel size, excellent tracking, uses AAA batteries, and has an on-off switch.

I'm missing the Logitech MX900 option there. That one is especially great since it's a BT mouse and you can connect it to your PB's internal BT chip. So, no extra stuff needed, definetly great when you travel. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a on/off button, so you need to take out the batteries when you put it in your bag or something. Other than that, great mouse!

Well, I know one that's not: the Kensington Studio Mouse Wireless.
