I was wondering what my options were with PCI and RAID. It seems that there are a ton of products out there which handle RAID 0 and 1 but none that do 5?

Anyone? Newman?

Cheers

External FW800 enclosure with it built-in hardware? La Cie makes one... and Wiebetech makes an enclosure. Probably the easiest and cleanest route.

LSI makes the PCI card which is a $500 option for the Xserve G5. Do they make a standalone card? Could be an option for internal drives in a G4. Of course the G5 can't fit 3 drives internally without modifications.

Someone makes a SATA RAID 5 card for the Mac. http://www.highpoint-tech.com/USA/rr1820a.htm They have other cards but this is the only one I know that will work on the Mac and it's PCI-X.
