Hi all,

I'm having a problem on my desktop (G4/533) with the mouse jumping around all over the screen. It does this on two mice (a MS cheapie and a Logitech wireless optical one). I've messed with the settings to no avail.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

If they're both optical mice, then it might be the pattern of the surface you're using the mice on. Repeating patterns can cause jumping.

I'm using an old Apple mousepad. It's grey with "Apple" written on it.

Try swapping it out the pad with, say, a sheet of paper to see if you can isolate the problem. Mousepads can get a little shiny from wear and the oils from your hand, little spills, etc. Sure sounds like it's the culprit to me.
