I am in the market for an LCD, but I don't know anything about the LCD response times. I've heard that lower is better, and I've heard that higher response times are better, and I'm CONFUSED!!! Could someone give me an explanation? And if the response times have something to do with personal preference, please tell me what response time is good for what. But, I don't know if its personal prefernce or not

I believe the best direct-view LCDs are currently in the 10ms range. The smaller the number, the better. When pixel response times are too high, you get smearing of moving images.
