is anyone currently using an HP 375 photoprinter and iPhoto 5? I'm having a hard time getting it to behave properly when it comes to borderless printing (i end up with a 1/4" white border at each end of the 6" paper).

printing from iView is also a pain since iView doesn't seem to want to just let me print one photo (i have to do a print from xxx to xxx, otherwise it tries to print everything in the folder). and the only way i can get borderless is by doing a 'fit to length or width' which crops what i intend to print.

the HP printing software works, but it defeats the purpose of having photo cataloging software if i have to export and print from a lame printer utility.

any clues or other feedback from HP 375 owners?

thanks

The white (which happens with any borderless printer and 4x6 or 5x7 paper) is because the digital camera image isn't the same dimensions as the photo paper: photo paper is 2:3 aspect ratio, while almost all digital cameras are 4:3, like a TV.

Just use iPhoto's Crop function to crop it to the right paper size, and it'll work as you expect.

Also, most digital cameras let you set them to automatically crop to 2:3 aspect ratio, which will be reflected in the display, so you'll get exactly what you see.
