My 16 meg ATI Rage card is really not cutting the mustard. Can I modify the BIOS of the AGP Radeon 9000 Pro 128MB card to use in my Mac? I don't have the resources to spend money on a Video Card for this old Mac, but I think a 128MB 9000 would give me a little bit of a boost when doing video playback and such.

Can I mod the BIOS on this card?

Thanks.

I'm running 10.3.9 and 9.2.2 on the Mac. I have a WinXP Pro machine I can use if I need that to do the BIOS flashing on the Radeon.

Wait, are you talking about buying a PC Radeon 9000 to flash and put in your Gigabit? Are your funds really so limited that you can't buy the Mac version of the Radeon 9000 Pro?

Quite a few of the Radeons can be flashed, but the 9000 is one that nobody seems to have had any success with. Maybe get a 2nd hand 8500 off ebay and try flashing that.
