For those of you that have a wireless mouse ---- do you feel that the cursor sensitivity is a good as a wired mouse? I do a lot of photoshop work and I need the 'brush or other tool' to be very exacting . I've never seena comment on this issue. One brand better that another? thanks

All wireless mice I tried I returned. I had a Logitech and two different M$ mice.
Reliability of signal / transmission were just not what I expected.
I have not tried any BT mouse yet.

I'm using a Logitech mouse on my G5 and I have yet some see a problem. I use photoshop and dreamweaver everyday without any problems. Maby it depends where you put the Rf Adaptor. My sits on my desk standing up in one of those crazy belkin usb hubs.

No problems with Doom 3 either

I also have a wireless (RF) mouse from Logitech. No problems of any kind for over a year and its VERY nice to have it moving around independently of the keyboard (which often sits in my lap). I'd say go for it ... the prices just aren't really high enough to worry about if it doesn't work properly. When in doubt, buy from Circuit City or Wal-Mart ... I *think* they'll let you return them within 30 days (double-check that, of course). Only annoyance is if the batteries die in the middle of usage. Make sure you always have backup batteries (or a backup wired mouse).

I use a Microsoft Wireless (RF) mouse and love it. No problems whatsoever, and I use it for both productivity apps and plenty of game playing....

I did try an MS Bluetooth Mouse on my laptop for a while, and that had some occassional problems--ie, lagging cursor tracking, etc. My sense--very unscientific--is that RF mice are rock solid, while Bluetooth ones can be erratic from time to time, but still useful...

I also us a logitech wireless mouse and actually find it more responsive the the apple wire mouse. I use it in Photoshop Elements and can't find anything to complain about.

I have an MX-700 on my PC and an MX-1000 on my Mac, and don't have any complaints about the responsiveness. However, both of these were (are) at the higher-end in terms of cost. Can't say anything about more budget-priced cordless mice though.

The only wireless mouse i've ever used that i thought was acceptable is the MX-1000. I just wish they would put that technology into something smaller and lighter...i hate big bulky mice.

Yeah, the MX700 and MX1000 seem to have perfect tracking. I wouldn't settle for anything less in the wireless mouse department... I've heard bad things about cheaper wireless mice and all Bluetooth mice.

Tried a Logitech RF wireless unit and returned it; even fiddling with settings couldn't give me the feedback of being spot on with a mouse.

Hoping to try an Apple BT keyboard next unless there are other alternatives.

I'm the same with the wired only crowd.

Tried all the wireless, always go back to the wired mouse. There is always a lag in the wireless ones. The MS optical blue mouse is my all time favorite in terms of button feel and motion.

I see no practical purpose for using wireless.

I have a logitech MX700 myself, very responsive and all, plus the recharging cradle is nice. The Apple Wireless Mouse on my mom's g5 is pretty nice too, but you have to remember to turn initial delay off (in universal access), because it makes the mouse feel really crappy and slow!

Otherwise, the MX700 is better than the pro mouse it replaced lol.

There are two practical purposes for the user:

1) They're nice for a laptop. If only for solving the mouse on the right, USB ports on the left "problem".

2) The cord doesn't get twisted-up or snagged.

These may not be practical enough for some, but them's the reasons.

As far as the original question goes, I've never seen any difference in responsiveness or sensitivity between the Apple Pro Mouse and the Apple Wireless Mouse. Something that no one has mentioned however is the AWM, by virtue of the batteries, is much heavier, so mousing with it has a different feel. I would presume the it's the same with other wireless mice.

You get used to it though, and personally I like it better.

My only complaint is it's very high, even after having it for 4 months now I still think that it's a bit too high for my tastes.. but there is the v500, although I'm not going to bother switching over to that This is an awesome mouse anyway

I have a wireless Optical Trackman from Logitech and love it. I'm a designer and I use one at home and work. I prefer it over using a mouse all day long and it's very precise. It takes about 30 minutes to feel comfortable but it's slightly different from other trackballs in you use your fingers to control the ball, not your thumb. Gives more precise control that way. The extra buttons are also a great touch.
