I have an external firewire drive with a nice big 250 GIG Western Digital Hard Drive in it. When I run Disk Utility on it I get this message.

Even more troubling is that DiskWarrior 3.0 can't replace the old directory with a new one. Now I just reformatted this drive about 2 weeks ago, after much moving of data. Is my drive being evil, or is something else up?

Have you scanned the surface for bad sectors -- physical defects on the platter?

I can't get Disk Warrior to do a hardware test.

I'm thinking maybe I should send the drive in, get it replaced. Unless someone has a better idea.
