Anyone have experience with the Canon PIXMA MP130?

I currently have a Agfa 1212u scanner. It works great for what I need the problem with it is that it is slow (with USB 1.0) and it has no quick scan buttons on the front (such as email, copy, fax etc).
I was going to get a CanoScan LiDE 500F scanner to replace it but I released that I also need a copier.
My current printer is a canon i950 which I use purely for Photo prints, I sometimes need to print just B & W text but I rather not use its expensive inks for that.
My questions are:
1) How is the scanner compared to the Agfa. CNET said the scanning quality isn't that great. What stand alone Canon scanner is it equivalent to?
2) What is the software like for OSX?
3) Does it have quick scan buttons that scans something at a size that is suitable for email?
The thing that I like about this multifunction is that it is gorgeous, small and cheap. Plus Canon products are fantastic.

That doesn't look too good... I ordered one and I should get it in the next couple of weeks (they're hard to come by here). I'm not really interested in the scanner option, as I doubt that I will use that. How's the printing/copying?

Well I have cleared up most of the scanner problems.
Something else I am having a problem with... it seems that it should be USB 2.0 but it is only working at USB 1.1. Canon says "The PIXMA MP130 supports USB 2.0 Hi-Speed."

.....unless you are using a Mac.
I discovered this also with my Canon scanner and printer.

No joke. Can't speak for the MP130 though.

I just checked my i560 ... it was listed at 12Mb/second in ASP. Plugged it directly into the port (not thru a hub). Then I pulled it out and put a USB 2.0 keychain drive in the exact same port ... showed up as 480Mb/sec. So I guess it is (unfortunately) true.

"Thank you for contacting Canon product support.
Let me begin by apologizing for the confusion regarding your inquiry. We
do our best to answer all customer inquiries as accurately and
efficiently as possible.
After speaking to our engineers, I discovered that the PIXMA MP130 only
supports USB 1.1 (or USB 2.0 Full-Speed). The information that I
originally gave was based on preproduction specifications that
ultimately changed."

Wrong, it's not a Mac vs PC issue. It's that the words "USB 2.0" alone do NOT indicate the high speed mode. Only the words "USB 2.0 High Speed" mean that the 480Mbps mode will be used.

This device doesn't seem to shut off like other canon printers.
I am wondering if it is necessary to shut it off when not in use.
