i got this lcd and am using it with my powerbook. i think the resolution is not small enough. i wish there was just one more setting, hiegher than 1280 x 1024. is there a way to enable this?
im using the newest 15" powerbook.
also i cannot access contrast settings via the monitors control panel, and the brightness settings have no affect when changed. please help!

You can't do that with an LCD. LCDs really need to be run at their native resolution, which is the one you mention above.

tooki,
is it me or does 1280 x 1024 seem kind of "large" (or not a high enough resolution) for a 19" mointor??

I prefer it smaller, but many users prefer a larger display.

I have that monitor also and would prefer a higher resolution than 1280 x 1024

Yes, the 2001 / 2005fpw are higher dpi. They're about the same dpi as a 17" monitor with 1280x1024 resolution.

You're not going to get a higher res than 1280x1024 in any LCD 19" or smaller. If you want 1600x1200, you'll have get at least a 20".
