for best sounding music from iTunes, do you use Dolby ProLogic "music" or "movie" ?

or some other setting?

well, for the most accurate sounding music, you wouldn't use either. if you really want some kind of processing, just try them and see which sounds best to you. Obviously the "Music" setting is intended for music, but i've found that it doesn't make it sound any better than with no processing. different, but no more enjoyable.

I vote for "Stereo" or "Stereo x2" the pro-logic settings I find distort everything and KILL the crispness of the bass

I don't like Stereo x2. PLII Music is better than PLII Movie, but "Stereo" is definitely the clearest and most optimal for stereo music.

I think the movie mode pipes more things to the center channel, the problem w/ either of the prologic options is that they blend the soundstage into one big channel, stereo mode will just have the 2 speakers in the front going keeping the soundstage seperated into 2 channels, the way it was originally recorded(assuming of course we're not talking about dvd-audio or w/e which could be surround sound in which case you would want to use pro-logic/dolbe digital so u get the surround sound.)
