I have an HP Deskjet 5600 printer which I recently made into a network printer by attaching it to the USB port on my Airport Extreme router. The printer works fine, but now I can no longer access the Printer Utility (under Printer Setup Utility) to do things like check the ink level remotely. Has anybody else noticed this? Is there any workaround? When the printer was connected directly to my iMac, it worked fine, but it was a pain to make this accessable to the rest of my home network as I did not want the iMac to cease going into sleep mode.

I'm running Panther (10.3.9) on all my Macs.

Any suggestions appreciated.
