I have an iSight with 10.4 and want to use the new conference room feature, but my computer is not fast enough to host or join one of these chats. Is there a hack that would make my iChat think my computer is a bit faster to make this work?

It's not unthinkable -- I've wondered specifically about the stringent hosting requirement -- but I suspect you'll have to wait a while. It just came out!

PowerBoost is probably what you want.

Don't expect performance to be amazing though. In fact it may will be pretty crap and make you wish you had not bothered.. Depending on just how slow/old your mac is..

Yes but for 8 bucks it's definitely worth a try.
