Everyone -

I'm more or less in charge of acquiring a 42"+ wide format printer for the department I work at at college. The new canon imagePROGRAF W8400 caught my eye, but I can't find any reviews on it anywhere. I know it came out in Japan in March and in the US last week, so there should be *some* reviews out there (even if they are in Japanese).

Anyways, I need to a review on this thing to see if it's worth the $6k it costs. I've looked high and low, but I can't find one.

If you don't know anything about this particular printer, are there any other good, reliable 42"+ wide format printers for around $6k out there that aren't more than 2 years old?

Further, are there any "professional printer discussion forums" out there? I can't find any of those either (and hence I resorted to good ol' MacNN forums).
