I bought a Macally mouse, got it working to discover that you can't program the buttons!

Then I went and got the Kensington mini Bluetooth mouse (twice as big as the Macally, mind you!) based on it's claims that it it has prgramable buttons, and they don't program either.

Anyone know of a small Bluetooth mouse with programable buttons?
(simple but impossible wish, right?)

Thanks!

I have a logitech mx510 and it's buttons are programable. I would assume, though am not sure, that the higher end MX bluetooh mice also have programable buttons. I would be interested in what you find though, as I've been looking for a mouse like the one you speak of, something very portable that is still functional. Let me know if you find anything good.

Exactly what do you wish to program? Is there something specific you want the buttons to do in certain apps?
You can use drivers such as USB Overdrive to program the right & middle buttons...

I'm not aware of any bluetooth mouse that allows you to program the buttons to anything other than Expose functions with the exception of ....

Kensington PilotMouse Bluetooth (not the Mini)
The Mouse BT

Unfortunately, neither of these have the small form factor you desire. There just aren't a lot of BT mice for the Mac that have OS X compatible drivers. The downside of Apple being leading edge when it comes to BT support but having a small market share that doesn't encourage a lot of custom driver support.
