Hi,

I just got a Motorola v330 from T Mobile. I guess OS X doesn't support it yet (I am on Tiger)

Is there any good way to get a motorola phone to work. I mostly want to sync and send SMS through Address Book.

Thanks!

Just got my v330 today. I didn't manage to do the Address Book thing (not a heavy SMS consumer), but I got it to sync contacts and calendars by adding the following to /Applications/iSync.app/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice/Contents/PlugIns/PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin/Contents/Resources/MetaClasses.plist

For some reason, FireFox or UBB munged the tabs. They don't really matter, and it should be pretty easy to add those in if it really breaks your heart not to have them.

As for location, I put it right after the entry for V551 (the MODEL=V551 thing, not the first occurrence, which, in my file, is an entry for the V400, which uses the 551 icon).

That's really cool.

Unfortunately for me, I use a lot of texting to communicate with friends on the move...I guess I'll just wait for good old apple to add it, unless anyone can point me in the right direction.

Just curious, since the v330 was brought up, aside from iSync support, will the phone work with a bluetooth dongle for just browsing the device (transferring ringtones, etc.)? A friend with a new iBook wants to use his for those purposes (I think he couldn't care less about synching).

Does anyone know how to set up Address Book to accept new phones? I can only see ways to add Sony phones; could others work?
