Hey all I need a little advice on my setup. I have an eMachine T6000 (64bit AMD) 3.0Ghz w/a 128MB Radeon 9000 4X Graphics Card connected with an DVI to ADC Adaptor to a 23" Cinema HD Display. THis Monitor is awesome it has a great look to it and is easy on the eyes (much better than my CRT). The only problem that I'm having is when I play Battlefield 1942 the game screen comes up but not centered or even fully on the monitor it is shifted to the right and down I'm missing about 2/3 of the game screen. Since this model of Monior has no buttons for adjustment I was wondering if you all have any fixes for this problem. I would greatly appreciate any advice or ideas that you may have. I got lucky on getting this monitor A computer customer of mine had two setting in his factory that was not being used and we bartered labor for a cool monitor. I'm new to MACS being a PC guy all my life they are pretty sweet from what he showed me on his MAC G5, just a bit pricey for me.
EA GAmes Support has a fix for this it is in the game system file a simple change worked everything is now centered , but I can only get 1280x768 out of the card I'm using so i will have to upgrade that to a Nvidia CArd I have had much better luck with Nvidia Cards than with ATI.
Good to know on how you fixed it. I have a gaming PC that is sitting around idle ever since I've gotten a 23" cinema display. It has a nVidia (5-something series, 52XX?), and I'll probaly be getting a dvi kvm so I can hook it up to my G5.
