I searched the forums and couldn't come up with a suitable answer. Does anybody know if USB 2.0 devices (specifically external enclosures for hard drives) are bootable under Tiger?

If you have a drive that boots, please let me know which chipset it has in it. The USB enclosures are significantly cheaper than Firewire (I'm not concerned about the speed difference, this is just for emergency backup).

I don't know about Tiger, but in previous OSes, no.
