Will both of them open up? I'm upgrading my internal drive but if there is an extra slot for one, I was thinking of just putting it in the second bay... But will that get annoying having them both open if I press the eject button? (if indeed that is what happens?)

Thanks,
Mike

If I remember, it will do the primary optical. I think the second one opens with option+eject, or maybe shift or control, I can't remember exactly. Tricky ain't it?

Yes, eject button opens the primary optical drive, option eject opens the second one. After I installed the second optical drive, the Eject menu extra was shown in the Mac OS X menu bar. All this with a MDD PowerMac.

Thanks everyone. I think I'll wind up just adding the second optical drive underneath the 'stock' one. Who knows when you'll want to drives... The stock one is still working so no probs anyway!

Thanks again!
