Since upgrading to Tiger, I have been unable to print more than one page at a time. This happens in all applications - Filemaker, Word, and even web pages. HP told me to go to page set up to ensure that the HP was specified after the upgrade to Tiger, but this did not help. Printer is directly connected to my G-4 via USB. The print dialogue box indicates initially that for example 6 pages are processing, and it "processes" each page, but after the first page is actually printed, the printer stops and then displays the message that no job is printing?? No strange lights blinking on the printer - it's almost like it never rec'd the information that there were more pages to print even though the dialogue box indicates otherwise.

This was not an issue in Panther although there were other misc problems that kept cropping up. NOT A FAN of HP products on Macs that's for sure. Any help greatly appreciated.

My 5550 works fine on a new install of tiger. Maybe try deleting and reinstalling the printer on the computer? Sounds like it's probably a driver issue. If you installed the printer drivers when you upgraded to Tiger (i think they're installed by default) then you already have the latest driver available.

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortuantely it did not work. It still only prints the last page of the series.

I've got no problems with my HP DJ-5550 on Tiger as well.

Have you tried:
-reboot
-repair permissions
-reinstall 10.4

Hope that helps!

Yes to the first two..no to the third.......however...i did the 1st and then the 2nd in that order..so perhaps I will try the 1st now that the 2nd has been done....and then try the 3rd as you suggest..Oh well...just sad streams of consciousness after a particuarly frustrating day....maybe leopard will one day solve all my problems. Why do I never seem to have a single issue with my Windows 2003 server?
