Currently, I have my iMac G4's system preferences set to the highest mouse (a Logitech MX500) trackspeed. However, whenever the computer restarts, my mouse speed actually rises to about twice as fast. This is too fast. If I then go into the system preferences and simply click or move the mouse trackspeed bar a little, but keep it in the same place, the speed goes back to normal. At first, I thought this was a problem with USB Overdrive X (which I can't, for the life of me, get to work at all) but even when I uninstalled it, the problem was still there. I thought it might be a problem with the Logitech drivers, but they don't even allow me to set the mouse speed there, only scroll speed. Anybody know what to do in this sort of case?

EDIT: Also, note that I have to use the Logitech drivers because I use one of their keyboards, and the driver is required for the extra buttons to have their settings. Is there a way to disable it for the mouse so that USB Overdrive can take over? I assume that the Logitech drivers are changing the mouse speed because USB Overdrive obviously wasn't.
