Hi

At my house we still have a Mac OS 9 computer running.

I would like to purchase an new scanner and favor the Canon scanners because of the print-to-pdf-function and reasonable prices.

Unfortunately the Canon Website does not mention any support for OS 9.

I assume there is no way to install such a scanner, then. Or is TWAIN a general standard? But I guess I would lack the pdf-function.

Any recommendations what else to buy? HP 4670 VP?

Thanks!

I'd suggest you buy an older Canon model with Mac OS 9 support (such as a LiDE 30 or 50) on eBay or ricardo. All the current Canons' drivers are for Mac OS X only.

In fact, I actually think some resellers still have LiDE 50 units around.
