I've got a kensington wireless studio mouse and hate it. I bought a cheap MS 2 buttons optical scroll wheel mouse to use when playing WoW because the batteries in the Kensington never hold a charge. It also makes a feint high pitched noise when using it. It's a horrible mouse.

Anyway, I'm looking to go Bluetooth. I do not have any Bluetooth dongle on my Mac Mini right now. Because of this I'm looking to get the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX for Bluetooth. This comes with a bluetooth dongle that can be plugged into USB (Correct me if I'm wrong). I was just wondering how well this setup works with anyone who has it. I have been reading to not install their drivers. One thing I would also like to know is how long will the batteries last in both of these products. I know the mouse has the rechargeable batteries with docking station, but how often will I have to drop them in there.

Thanks for any info!

If you want to go Logitech cordless, I'd suggest one of the non-bluetooth keyboard/mouse combos. The LX 501 is a wireless white-colored keyboard/mouse combo designed to match the Mac mini (among other machines). And its officially supported on the Mac by Logitech.

How about the Logitech MX 700 Cordless Desktop. How well does this setup work.

I have heard the batteries on the mouse last about 1.5 days or so, but you can recharge them. How about the Keyboard?

I used a bluetooth module that came with my Belkin bluetooth mouse. Works just fine when I plug it in. When you get used to bluetooth, you may wish you had it as an option built-in from the beginning.
